Looking for something different to do at the zoo? Join us for one of our community programs!

Animal Adventures Story Time 2021

Join us on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays in June through August at 10 am for a story time geared towards young children and their caretakers. We will have a short story time on the education lawn followed by a special animal chat.

Zoo Tiny Tots

We are excited to launch a new program for toddlers and their grown-ups this fall! Bring your 2-4 year old for a fun educational program facilitated by zoo staff. Choose from either Thursday or Saturday mornings from 9-11 AM, September 9th to October 2nd

  1. September 9th or 11th: Move like an Animal
  2. September 16th or 18th: Talk like an Animal
  3. September 23rd or 25th: Hide like an Animal
  4. September 30th or October 2nd: Eat like an Animal

We believe that children learn through play so our Zoo Tiny Tots curriculum is written to guide parents in fun activities aligned to the KS Early Learning Standards.  We will practice gross and fine motor skills through games and crafts, build social and emotional awareness through interacting with peers and zoo animals, and incorporate age-appropriate math, science, and literacy standards over the series. For more details, contact Jessica.Wright@hutchgov.com.

Cost: $20 per session or $60 for the full series

Registration Information: Sign up online at https://bit.ly/ZooTinyTots or stop by the zoo gift shop
