Hoofstock Keeper

The Hoofstock Zookeeper provides daily care for various ungulates; Participates in animal well-being practices and assessments, including training and enrichment. Maintains safe, healthy, clean, and attractive habitats and public spaces and makes repairs or reports issues as needed. Engages zoo guests and has excellent public relations, organization, and communication skills. Full Time.

Part-time Guest Services Coordinator

The Guest Services Coordinator is a part-time, non-exempt position. The Coordinator's purpose is to support the Hutchinson Friends of the Zoo by managing fee-based experiences for all guests as well as maintaining the Gift Shop. This is a 20-30 hour per week position with a typical schedule of Friday through Tuesday. Weekends and evenings are required. Hours can vary depending on the season and the needs of Zoo operations.

Seasonal Rehabilitation Technician

The Seasonal Rehabilitation Technician provides animal care and maintains the zoo rehabilitation facilities.


  • Performs routine feedings and diet preparation
  • Performs medical exams
  • Accession of animals from the public
  • Maintain detailed narratives and charts of animal observation, care and medical treatments.
  • Identify and communicate concerns to management in a timely manner
  • Maintain supply inventories
  • Perform all related housekeeping chores and other duties as required
