Seasonal Zoo Education Intern

The Seasonal Education Intern performs the full range of activities required to facilitate zoo summer camp programs, animal handling and occasional animal husbandry assistance. This employee should possess excellent education/ interpretive skills, guest relations, organizational, and communication skills. This is a paid internship program.

Seasonal Horticulture Maintenance Worker

The Zoo Horticulture Maintenance Worker assists the full-time staff by performing unskilled to semi-skilled work in a variety of fields in the maintenance and upkeep of the Zoo. Performing horticultural and maintenance related duties are the primary responsibilities of this position.

Zoo Curator

The Zoo Curator is responsible for ensuring the proper care and welfare of all collection and rehabilitation animals including daily husbandry, animal records, permits and reports. Assists the Zoo Director with updating and maintaining the Zoo's Master plan, strategic plan, and collection plan. Acts as a liaison between the Zoo director and contract veterinarians, and as the Institutional Representative for AZA population management species. Is responsible for supervising the zookeeper staff. This employee should possess excellent public relations, supervisor, organizational, and communication skills.
